Slim Wallet - 5 card, sliding, mechanical, snapfit, no supports
thingiverse
This is a design I came up with after seeing an ad for the Groove wallet. It can hold up to 5 cards, and incorporates a mechanism to fan the cards out for easy access. It prints in three parts with no supports, and securely snaps together with little force required. The lever piece will need to be oriented on its side, and the cover and base pieces will need to be oriented with their outer surfaces toward the print bed. The design itself is not setup for multi-material. I achieved this two-tone print with a filament swap after 1mm. In order to have the assembly retract itself, you will need a couple 1/4 inch orthodontic rubberbands. [I got a bunch on Amazon for cheap](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X31T86H). To grip the cards in place, i just used a small amount of doublesided tape to attach some craft foam on either side, in the 1cm wide notches in the base part. There are some small vestigial grooves in the design because I had originally tried to incorporate a printed PLA leaf spring of sorts, but that proved too finicky. You may need apply some light sanding to the rails, or wear it down by sliding the pieces in place, before it will slide easily.
