Slim Parametric Laptop Stand (configured for Macbook Pro 2015)
thingiverse
I created this for my laptop, and someone on Reddit asked me to share it, so I'm posting it here. It's designed to be simple and fits perfectly on my laptop. To prevent the laptop from sliding on a slippery surface, I added rubber feet with double-sided tape, though it's not necessary. The profile is optimized for my 15" 2015 MacBook Pro, but if you want it to fit your laptop, you'll need to use calipers and open the file in Fusion 360. Edit the first sketch to adjust the dimensions according to your laptop's specifications. When tuning the design for your laptop, use the "Fitting Test" component to print only the fitting part of the stand before wasting time and filament printing the entire thing. If you find parameters that work for your laptop, consider posting them as a comment here to help others with similar laptops. With the current thickness of 4mm, it's not possible to close the laptop lid with the feet on, but this isn't an issue for me. You can download the .f3d file from this link or use the Fusion 360 public link at https://a360.co/2O8fzni.
