This is a custom build combining jsalin's Slim ODD and a 3.5" drive to 5.25" bracket, designed to create a straightforward slim optical drive casing. The thicker component accommodates older optical drives used in laptops that are slightly thicker than their modern counterparts, making it the ideal choice for these types of drives. In contrast, the standard component is specifically designed for extremely slim drives. The lid and main body of the enclosure are secured together with 3mm screws.
