Slim ODD and 3.5" drive to 5.25" bracket Rev2
thingiverse
I must give credit to jsalin for the great design, but I needed just one crucial element: the bracket itself, to be used with slim ODDs, without any extraneous components like the 3 1/2 card reader. To achieve this, I skillfully closed up that vacant space and added a small edge around the front bezel of the ODD to prevent it from catching and opening unexpectedly. Additionally, I incorporated small edges on both sides so that when the bracket is inserted into a computer case, there's less of a gap on either side. I attempted to rectify the mounting holes on the right but realized my modifications were insufficient. In the three brackets I printed and mounted an ODD into, putting two screws on the left side proved sufficient to hold it in place and prevent the right side from shifting inward when closing the tray. It's worth noting that some ODD units may not possess the same number of holes on their left sides.
