Slim Laptop Stand
cults3d
I'm working on a new project that's all about comfort and airflow. It's a slim laptop stand designed to elevate your laptop to a more comfortable viewing height while also improving airflow underneath it. To make this stand sturdy yet flexible, I've engineered it to be printed entirely in TPU. This material is perfect for this project because it's both bendable and strong enough not to break under pressure. The stand consists of four pieces: two bottom pieces and two top pieces. The bottom pieces fit snugly on the laptop's bottom and have a small hole that allows the top pieces to be inserted, securing the stand in place. Each bottom piece has a groove where you can insert a metal or strong material rod for added stability. These two pieces need to be attached together with the rod inside. The top pieces are designed to move up and down. Like the bottom pieces, they have grooves that allow for the insertion of a metal or strong material rod, which adds extra strength to the piece. This rod goes through the hole in the bottom piece, serving as the laptop's foot. To assemble the stand, you'll need to glue both sets of pieces together. However, I'm having trouble finding the right glue to bond TPU without it breaking apart. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this project and whether you've printed one yourself. Don't forget to check out my other creations on my profile – I'm still learning the ropes of modeling, but I've got plenty of ideas in the works!
