Slim, Height-adjustable Webcam Holder

Slim, Height-adjustable Webcam Holder

When I use my webcam for "face-to-face" meetings, I like to actually place it in front of my screen so I can more or less make "eye contact" with the other person. But when someone's sharing a document, I need a good view of the screen and therefore will move the webcam out of the way (and it's OK that the angle is a little bit more "from below"). Plus, I want to be able to quickly go from one height to a different one (ideally such that the other meeting participants don't even notice). And: the webcam holder should be as slim as possible (desk space is precious and scarce!). To achieve this, I designed this slim webcam holder. It allows you to adjust its height in 4 steps on the fly and without the use of any tools. Image #2 shows the lowest and the highest height setting (sorry about the image quality). For the clamp, you'll need a nut and a bolt, for example as seen in image #6. To mount the webcam, there's a hole at the top for the usual camera mount screws (1/4").
