I designed this lightweight ecig battery using Fusion 360's powerful design tools. The ergonomic curves fit perfectly in the hand, and it doesn't feel bulky in a pocket like other mods do. A slide and lock mechanism is featured on the case, along with clips for all components to keep them securely in place. For safety reasons, there is a flush-mount button, an on/off switch, and two 15 amp resettable fuses located throughout the case. The Keystone 1049 battery holder has pegs that pop and lock into the case easily. The fuses are small enough to mount flush with the holder; simply place a slice of kapton behind the fuses after soldering them in place. Mount the IRLB3034PBF mosfett to the holder as shown, using a small screw for secure attachment. Copper tape from adafruit was used for the negative lead, but there is enough clearance between the holder and the case for a wire to be used instead. The switch and 12mm button were also obtained from adafruit. This design utilizes a salvaged 510 connection from an old 'Ego' style battery, allowing you to use ego atomizers with this mod. It's essential to utilize heat shrink tubing on all connections and kapton tape between all components for optimal results. I had to trim/bend the leads to get everything to fit properly in place. E6000 was used to glue the switch, button, and 510 connector into position securely. You may have to work the slide and lock mechanism back and forth to achieve smooth operation. Tips: Prints without support material! I had to bend the ends of all the battery connectors inward because they were catching on the battery wrapper; needle nose pliers made this task much easier. Bend the leads of the mosfet up and over to clear the button in place. The wiring and assembly guide found here was very helpful: http://findmyvapes.com/how-to-build-unregulated-dual-18650-box-mod-with-mosfet/ Old ego batteries are common, and you might know someone with a broken one where you can salvage the connector. Adafruit components product numbers: switch 805; button 1119; copper 1128 Do this at your own risk only if you are comfortable working with electronics.
