SLIM Cable Chain Redux

SLIM Cable Chain Redux

I started making a cable chain for my Ender 3 Pro using dzxxx2331s' redux model to save some plastic and have a cooler look. I used some mounting parts from norp's "Slim X Axis Cable Chain" (see link below), but quickly realized that the cable links and covers didn't have the same cutouts as the redux model, so I added them in. Saves a decent amount of time and plastic.I included the .sldprt files for further editing, but they're meshed stl's so it might be complicated (I had to use planes with reference geometry in them to set dimensions offset from the part in a sketch).I printed these using OVERTURE Easy PLA at 210C for first layers and 205C elsewhere. dzxxx2331s recommends printing with 3 walls, but I printed with 2 and I think the parts are a little easier to snap together that way. Use a brim for the covers, especially if you have trouble with bed adhesion (glue stick helped me). In total, I needed about 15 links to reach the range of motion for my hotend in the X direction. For the mounts on my Ender 3 Pro (files not included), I used norp's extruder mount (link below) and johnniewhiskey's top mount, cable end clip, and bed mount (link also below).Slim X Axis Cable Chain with Extruder and Hotend Mount for Ender 3 Pro by norp - ThingiverseEnder 3 Cable Chain by johnniewhiskey - Thingiverse
