Slim and Adaptive Face Mask With Replaceable Filters

thingiverse

Many tutorials demonstrate how to make 3D printed face masks, but I have not found solutions that adapt well to the human face. So I decided to create a mask with some 3D printed parts and materials easily accessible. I hope it can be helpful to someone during these times when the pandemic makes finding masks impossible for many. Be aware! This mask is not intended as a substitute for certified masks, but rather as an alternative when they are impossible to find: having a mask like this is better than nothing, especially if used with high protection filters. I designed the mask to have several key features: Perfect adherence to the face due to its adjustable design A small footprint with a shape similar to disposable masks Good airflow with double filters and a relatively large filtering area Replaceable filters that can use P2 or P3 filters for high-grade protection To make this mask, you will need: A 3D printer A heat sealing machine (or the ability to do it yourself) TPU flexible filament PLA filament A plastic bag of filament Double-sided tape Adhesive foam tape (draft excluder tape) 8 countersunk screws with a diameter of 2.9mm and a length of 6mm A small piece of metal sheet Follow the tutorial on: https://www.instructables.com/id/Slim-and-Adaptive-Face-Mask-With-Replaceable-Filte/
