Slightly Modified Speed Boat 3

thingiverse

A high-performance speed boat, boasting a revolutionary new motor mount design, takes to the water with a 1806 brushless motor firing on all cylinders, driving a massive 5" propeller that leaves competition in its wake. This ingenious mount allows for effortless deck removal without disrupting the motor's operation or rudder alignment, while a sturdy bolt pattern of 2mm dia holes on a 16mm square secures the motor firmly in place. The boat's power plant is fueled by an EMAX PM1806 motor, churning out impressive performance on a 3S setup with a robust 1000mah battery and a potent 5030 propeller. Total weight is a mere 400g, making this speed demon remarkably agile and responsive to control inputs. With the transmitter configured for 30 degrees of throw in each direction, the rudder responds with ease, allowing even novice pilots to navigate complex courses with confidence. Kudos to Wersy for their exceptional craftsmanship! This speed boat was precision-crafted from ABS plastic, showcasing the capabilities of modern 3D printing technology. Post-Printing Tests Reveal Key Improvements During initial testing, a critical weakness in the front section of the spiral-printed hull was identified, prompting an innovative solution: applying a thin coat of acetone/ABS mix and several coats of paint to bolster durability. This clever fix significantly enhanced the boat's resilience. Additionally, the rudder's height was expertly reduced by approximately 15mm, resulting in even more precise control and stability during high-speed maneuvers.
