Sliding Tile Puzzle

Sliding Tile Puzzle

thingiverse

A sliding tile puzzle that is five tiles high and five tiles wide. Rather than using numbers, this puzzle uses the letters of the alphabet (removing J and Q) to label the tiles. The puzzle can be printed in place, and the letters are raised to facilitate two-colour printing. The puzzle holder can be used to support the puzzle and prevent it from falling apart while being manipulated. It can also be printed in a different colour than the puzzle, making the whole thing look rather nice. The lid is designed to fit on top of the puzzle holder. To get a secure fit, ensure that the central square of the puzzle is vacant when you put the lid on. The central peg that extends from the lid will then keep the puzzle pieces from sliding around. Finally, the grille tiles are intended to be used to decorate the lid. The tiles are sized such that they can be snapped into the empty squares of the grille in the lid. The fit is rather tight. Once fitted, however, the tiles will be secure and should not fall out accidentally.
