Sliding Storage Drawers with Working Supports
thingiverse
I successfully modified Intentional3D's impressive sliding drawers to be compatible with Cura and other slicing software. The printed result was excellent, and the supports were effortless to detach. By sharing this information, I hope to save fellow makers from wasting time thickening their supports! This post features the 0.6mm gap version. I plan to create a 0.5mm version soon. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 25% Notes: Printed in Colorfabb XT transparent at 250C, 60C bed, 40mm/s, about a 30 hour print. Post-Printing: Carefully remove the external supports first, beginning with the largest ones. If you manage to free it up, you can wiggle and pull out the large supports as one piece. Then, remove the small external supports by doing the same thing, wiggling gently to remove the internal parts of them. At this point, there are still several internal supports remaining, so gently rock the part back and forth to loosen them up and create enough movement to reach the internal supports and remove them.
