This is the second sliding spice rack in a series designed with functionality and convenience in mind. For this particular version, the basket measures 150mm wide, making it an ideal choice for those who need extra storage space. Printing this design requires a large printer capable of handling the total length of 280mm. Viewers interested in smaller versions can check out the 100mm version here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3402049 or the 125mm version at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3461574 for inspiration. Alternatively, they can also look at the 200mm version here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3415986. Installing the top rail is a straightforward process that requires some basic tools and patience. First, attach the rail to the base part before placing it in the cabinet. Make sure to slide the rail all the way forward and secure it with #6 wood screws 1/2 inch long. For added stability, glue the basket onto the top rail using an acrylic adhesive like SCIGRIP 16, which is a safer alternative to super glue for PLA prints. However, be cautious when applying this type of adhesive as it contains harsh chemicals that require careful handling and proper ventilation. Print settings include printing with 3 walls and 10% to 35% infill without the need for support material. A brim is also highly recommended to ensure a smooth print.
