This is a slide out spice rack. I came up with the idea for this a year ago before I had my 3D printer. Originally I was going to use a drawer slider with a plastic box. There is a company on Amazon that makes something like these, but they are very expensive.

You will need a large printer to be able to print this. The basket is 100mm wide and the total length is 280mm or just over 11 inches long.

The 125mm version is here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3461574

The 150mm version is here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3415937

The 200mm version is here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3415986

The top rail has to be put onto the base part before installing it in the cabinet. Slide the rail all the way forward and put in the screws. I used #6 wood screws 1/2 inch long. The basket is glued onto the top rail. I use an acrylic glue (SCIGRIP 16) that IMHO is better than super glue for PLA. It has some nasty chemicals in it though. It just requires careful application and good ventilation. Gloves are also recommended. Super glue works too!

Print with 3 walls and 10% to 35% infill. No support needed.

The basket comes from this thing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1928038

UPDATE: 02/05/2019, redesigned the rails so they are MUCH easier to print and work a whole lot better. No supports needed. I also included my test pieces that I used to make sure the new design would work!
Category: Kitchen & Dining
