I designed this to keep my patio door shut because my kids are old enough to figure out the regular latch and I'm concerned they'll make a break for it since they're a flight risk. This solution is far more visually appealing than the stick most people use in their patio door trackway for added security, and it's much harder to bypass - even an inventive troublemaker can't easily get past the standard patio door security lock with a coathanger or skinny tree branch. These could also be placed on windows if you have older style ones that have less secure latch mechanisms. They install quickly with two screws (#8x1" wood screws). Printed at 75% fill and 5 walls everywhere, this latch isn't going anywhere.
