Sliding Screen Door Handle

This is a custom-made screen door handle designed as an upgrade to the Slide-Co Prime-Line Products 121740 Mortise Style Screen Door Latch and Pull kit, available for purchase online. After the second time the original latch broke, I decided to create my own enhanced version. The original handle has a small gripping surface that makes it difficult to slide the door open or closed. This new design increases the surface area by 100%, making it much easier to use (my wife and kids give it two thumbs up!) and features a pocket section to minimize direct contact with the screen. We replaced our screen material due to a hole near the handle caused by finger contact when closing the screen door. Three STL files are included: one for the inside door handle, one for the outside door handle, and one for the latch mechanism. The metal latch and screws from the original kit can be reused. Simply snap the latch into the inside door handle with a little force to complete the installation.
