Sliding patio door lock (strybuc charley bar)
thingiverse
I created this design to replace the bar lock on my patio doors, and I highly suggest printing it in ABS rather than PLA - although I'm currently using a PLA version myself. The reason behind this style of lock is to enable you to secure the door as you exit. The bar glides smoothly into its groove, and once fully closed, it slides down to lock the door securely. While I have no idea if this will work for your specific door, it has proven effective for my 70-year-old house. This design serves as a latch for a Strybuc charley bar, and you can purchase the entire hardware kit online for $10 - but why bother when you can simply print it yourself?
