Sliding Mailbox Flag
prusaprinters
I wanted a simple mailbox flag to indicate outgoing mail that didn't require any hardware or drilling holes in the mailbox. I couldn't find any existing designs that were exactly what I was looking for, so I made my own. This is my first attempt at a parametric design. I added constraints and parameterized all measurements within Fusion 360 so that this model can be easily scaled to any width/length/thickness just by changing a few parameters. I made this with a cover that slides on/off for easy installation of the flag between the back case and cover without requiring any glue or screws. The cover can still be slid off even after mounting to the mailbox (I just used command strips to mount it), so if you ever want to print a different color or size flag, it can easily be swapped out without having to unmount it.Print SettingsThis is a quick/easy print and requires no supports. The model I uploaded is 70x50. It was made to fit the width of my particular mailbox, which was 70mm. I could upload different sizes if requested.Printer: AnkerMake M5Filament: PLA+ (I used black for the back and cover, and red for the flag)Infill: 5% Gyroid (you can increase this if you want but I found 5% works fine).Supports: NoLayer Height: 0.2mm
