This bracket prevents the switch from shifting out of place. You can move the lever horizontally to allow the switch to be positioned either up or down, then slide it back into position to lock it in place. Assemble the slide within its frame before attaching the assembled frame to the light switch plate using the light switch plate screws. This assembly requires a minimal amount of support.
