Sliding lid box (Ox Box)
thingiverse
This is a simple box designed for storing small items such as SD cards, guitar picks, and other tiny components. They are ideal for keeping track of your belongings and come in handy when you need to quickly locate something specific. With just a few clicks, these boxes print out easily using any 3D printer and require minimal post-processing with a hobby knife. To achieve the best results, I recommend printing them at 100% infill, although you can experiment with different settings if needed. Since they don't need support material, I only use a brim to ensure they stick to the print bed properly. So far, I have successfully printed these boxes in PLA, but feel free to try other materials if you prefer. If you want to add your own design or pattern to the lid, simply open the STL file in Tinkercad and get creative - it's easy! A pattern not only adds visual appeal but also serves as a convenient grip surface for opening and closing the box. On my CR-10 printer, I print these boxes at 200°C nozzle temperature and 60°C bed temperature, which yields great results. They are quick to print and use up minimal filament, making them an excellent choice for gifts or even business cards with the right design.
