Similar to a bathroom stall's sliding latch, this design offers light security for cabinets and doors. Constructed mainly of plastic, unless made from metal materials, it is not recommended for high-security purposes. To assemble the latch, follow these steps: attach the baseplate to the door through its four corner holes; place the bolt against the baseplate; cover the bolt with a lid that aligns with the two central baseplate holes; secure the lid using screws that pass through it and the baseplate. Lastly, fix the socket to the door frame.
