Sliding door with sliding window

I have been considering the design for my new home, and I discovered that pocket sliding doors are quite costly. Regular sliding doors, however, render the wall useless for tasks such as mounting a TV. So, I thought of an even pricier and aesthetically unappealing solution - a manual door operation system. This involves utilizing a rack and pinion mechanism between the door and sliding door rail to convert linear motion into rotary motion. The rotary motion is then transmitted through a belt to a spur gear, which reverses the rotation to the pinion gear for a sliding window. The pinion and rack of the sliding window produce linear motion, opposite to that of the door's motion.
