I reside in a desert and during monsoon season, strong winds and rain whip massive amounts of dust and dirt into my sliding door's track. In the past, I relied on a flathead screwdriver or stiff brush to clean out the track, but it took an enormous amount of time and often left me with another mess to tackle. After some contemplation, I discovered a better approach. This tool is broad enough to fit snugly within the track, leaving little room on either side. It glides along the flat bottom, expertly collecting dirt as it goes. When printing this tool, I recommend measuring the width of your sliding door's track and then adjusting its size accordingly. My design is tailored for a 3/4-inch track. If you're dealing with a lot of debris, consider lengthening the tool to increase the capacity of the cup, allowing you to scoop up more dirt before needing to empty it.
