Sliding door handle for 70s era door
thingiverse
Here's a door handle for a sliding door. I've got an old 70's era sliding door with a door handle that fouls a new set of roller blinds we're attaching. Plus, it's grossly ugly. I thought I'd 3D print a lower profile handle as a temporary solution until I replace the door. The existing handle has 97.4mm hole centers (3" 7/8). My model replaces the existing screws with M4 screws. I tapped the existing hole in the aluminum door frame with an M4 tap. I reduced the profile of the handle from approximately 60mm to just 16mm, and the blind no longer fouls on the handle. There are plugs to cover the screws to make it a little more tidy. Note: There's no locking mechanism in this print. It's a handle only since my door has an existing lock at the top of the door.
