Sliding Door Closer pulley system

Now that I have two mischievous cats, I've taken action to prevent them from sneaking into my food storage room. The sliding door is normally left open, but I designed this clever pully system to keep it securely closed at all times. I attached the angle bracket to the top of the door and connected it to a sturdy idler pulley with a smooth 608 bearing that's fixed firmly to the frame or a nearby wall. From there, I simply tied a string to the angle bracket and ran it over the pulley, anchoring it in place with a substantial weight.
