Sliding Barn Door Center Stop
cults3d
Place this in the middle of the track of sliding "Dual Barn Doors" (i.e. a track across a wide door with a pair of sliding barn doors meeting in the middle) to prevent the doors from traveling past the center point (middle). This helps greatly to close the doors in the true center, especially when the track doesn't have any 'detent' notches cut in them for the rollers to center-up on. Caution: Open the CAD models in a viewer which allows you take measurements, and make sure your track thickness and height are compatible with this design (i.e. that this will fit YOUR track). There are 2 versions available for download. v1 was designed to fit a 1/4" (0.25"=6.4mm) thick track with 1/4" (0.25"=6.4mm) thick binding plate (coupler), so, a total thickness of 1/2" (0.5"=12.7mm) along the bottom (non-roller) portion of the track. It is also intended for 2.75" (7cm) diameter wheels spaced 4.25" (10.8cm) apart. v2 was designed to fit a 7/32" (0.22"=5.6mm) thick track with 6/32" (0.19"=4.8mm) thick binding plate (coupler), so, a total thickness of 13/32" (0.41"=10.3mm) along the bottom (non-roller) portion of the track. It is also intended for 2.75" (7cm) diameter wheels spaced 3.625" (9.2cm) apart. Total width of part is 7.0", to fit closely between the 2 mounting posts attaching the tracks to the wall (door frame). Please make sure you have this same distance between your mounting posts! I've provided STL, STEP, IGES, ParaSolid, and SolidWorks files so you can import into your favorite CAD design software and modify as-needed to fit your situation.
