SlideTab Surface Creation System

SlideTab Surface Creation System

thingiverse

This endeavor sought to modify Chris K. Palmer's SlideTab objects for 3D printing while retaining the Robo-cut joint structure. The results are visible in the attached images; however, the parts' thinness and flexibility limit their use exclusively to Solido SD300, Invision LD, or MCor Matrix printers. Consequently, this project's shared files mainly hold academic interest. Geometric shapes feature wall thicknesses of 0.2mm to 0.6mm, while hat thicknesses range from 0.2mm to 0.4mm. If using a LOM-based printer, it is not recommended to build this model unless you have access to an SLS machine capable of building geometric shapes without bead-blasting during cleaning. To assemble the models, print ten Rabbi or Bishop hats from Rabbi.stl, four triangles from triangle.stl for a tetrahedron, six squares from square.stl for a cube, eight triangles from triangle.stl for an octahedron, and twenty triangles from triangle.stl for an icosahedron.
