SlideStopper - Purple mattress frame clamp
thingiverse
Our purple mattress never stayed in place on the frame, it constantly slid down and created a gap between our headboard and mattress. Once every 2-3 days we'd have to slide the mattress back up to close the gap to stop our pillows from dropping down. A footboard would also solve this problem, but I'm a tall dude and footboards don't work well for me. This rest arrester clamps onto the Purple frame and acts as a stopper, keeping constant pressure on the bottom of the mattress to stop it from sliding. This has been tested with the king size frame which is two of the twin frames combined. I'm not sure if it will work with any other size. I use two of these, evenly spaced on the bottom of the frame and it is doing the job well. It is possible to use these with bed skirts, however the one I use is very thin and can just drape on top. If you have a thicker bed skirt then there may be a pretty visible lump. YMMV. Non-commercial use only. INSTALLING: -Hook it around the end of the frame on a section that does not have crossbars -Once it's hooked on, slide it over so that the crossbar sits between the flanges Here's a Reddit link that shows how to hook it on: https://www.reddit.com/r/functionalprint/comments/p9khy1/i_made_a_rest_arrester/ PRINTING: I printed this with PLA+ at 30% infill. It seems sturdy enough but I have not had it installed for long, you might want to up the infill to 35-50% just to be safe. eSun PLA+ Layer Height .3mm Nozzle: 215c Bed: 60c Infill: 30% No rafts or supports needed.
