slider for 5th voice on Hohner Morino VS
thingiverse
The Hohner Morino V S is an LMMMH accordion, yet it lacks a crucial option - registers with just MM. A creative solution exists to address this issue. By uncoupling the down-tremolo M reed and incorporating a slider to control it, you can achieve a more versatile sound experience. The pictures demonstrate the slider in place, nestled below the grille, and the mechanism without the down-tremolo M reed. This modification should result in a seamless fit, with the two parts pressing together effortlessly. However, for added security, gluing them may be a wise decision - this way, you can still easily remove and reinstall the grille as needed. The top part requires support to print accurately. It's worth noting that this modification may also work on other 5-voice Hohner Morino accordions, although the position of the lever might need to be adjusted accordingly. In addition to the STL files, I've included SketchUp source for your convenience.
