This should prevent the slide-lock from engaging when inserted in your magazine. This is useful when you want to practice dry fire drills that require racking the slide with a mag inserted like unloaded starts in competitive shooting or malfunction drills. This was modeled in 9mm for use in my Glock magazines but I imagine it will work in other double-stack magazines too but I have not tested any other mags. Glock magazine followers are lower on the right side so if your mag is reversed you can just mirror the model in your slicer. You may also be able to scale up the model to work with other calibers. This is modeled on 9mm which is 0.38" in diameter so for instance you can try scaling it by about 116% to get to the 0.424" diameter of 40 cal and 126% to get to the 0.48" diameter of the 45 cal. I haven't actually tried this so you may have to experiment with this a bit. If you wanted to use this in a single stack mag you would just need to cut off the lower leg in your slicer (if it has that feature) but I could upload a single stack version if there's enough interest. Enjoy and let me know if you have any feedback.
