Slide Scanner
thingiverse
This project started around a VuPoint Slide Scanner that was no longer compatible. I tore the guts out of the device save for the USB cord and backlight, and replaced it with a RPi0 and V2.0 camera. The software RPi Cam Control made it very easy to make a scanner easily accessible via a web browser. I decided to make a case for a 2nd unit using the same design, adding a way to include a backlight and replicating an indicator light and button of the VuPoint. I made sure the design used the same slide and negative tray size (so that the slide and negative trays here will also work with a VuPoint that uses a 65mm tray). Hardware BOM: RaspberryPi ZeroW Momentary Contact Switch (7mm diameter mount) LED (5mm) x2 Segments of 5mm 12v strip LEDs 3-5VDC to 12VDC Step Up Converter 6cmx6cm diffusion fabric Design goal: keep the base less than 100mm.
With this file you will be able to print Slide Scanner with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Slide Scanner.
