Inspired by Ludwig Kristiansdson's design, this improved version allows full adjustment while maintaining simplicity and clarity. Unlike his design, both flows are not independently adjustable, which could be misleading. However, oxygen flow regulators try to maintain constant flow rates regardless of downstream restrictions. This model overcomes that issue by only permitting 100% on one side at a time, ensuring the total never exceeds 100%. A separate T piece, preferably an off-the-shelf oxygen-rated one, is required. Anton Alveflo's design (OxygenRegulator) serves as a suitable alternative if needed. Two factors affect all submissions: flow regulators have poor regulation, and the typical nasal cannula pipe has internal ribs to prevent crushing. These ribs make it difficult to pinch or seal the tube. Thus, all oxygen splitters should be fitted before the cannula using oxygen-safe pipes without anti-crush ribs, ensuring proper positioning. This design is part of my work for Field Ready but has not been tested in the field yet.
