Slide-In tiles for gaming
thingiverse
Following a breakthrough moment while posting my previous tile design, I created these innovative slide-in tiles! The primary ideas behind these: * MODULAR - Develop any type of square map * EDITABLE - You can effortlessly add something to the top to create a custom terrain * FLOORS - Being slide-in, the pieces can generate second+ floors and suspended bridges without additional support other than at the edges Which .STL file should I use? Personally, I believe that Type2 is the best option when it comes to actually piecing these things together. What's the difference between the files? * Tile-Slide = A basic square tile * -Corners1 = The corners are triangular, leaving a gap that can create another square * -Corners2 = Similar to 1, with the slide-in piece slightly smaller. I haven't had the chance to print and test yet, so it's here in case the 1 doesn't fit or is too tight. * -FrontBack = This one only has 1 connector and 1 receiver on the front and back * -Type2 = The position of the connector and receiver are different, which allows straight lines to slide in and out with ease. Probably the best option. Images aren't great, but it's better than thingiverse leaving this project without any images.
