Slide Bauble

Slide Bauble

thingiverse

This bauble was designed from a desire to use our old slides, that were just sitting around in the attic. This model fits slides with a thickness of 3mm but a shimmy could easily be made to fit the 2mm ones. I printed this on an Ender3 v2 with a .6mm nozzle, but a .4 should work fine as well. I did my test prints at the local FabLab with a Prusa. I originally sanded some clear LEDs to diffuse them, but that was not nearly enough. I then printed a diffuser, but the one I made wasn't big enough. I haven't found the perfect solution, but i recently had som good ideas. I have attached a technical drawing of the switch I used so you might find a similar version as this is the only purchased thing that interfaces with the print. The rest is made from a prototyping board with a button cell holder, a resistor and an LED. You can see the construction one one of the images.
