Sliceform Monkey Saddle

About 30 years ago I met John Sharp and was introduced to Sliceforms, a fascinating art form that has captivated me ever since. With over two decades of experience in creating intricate paper and card sliceforms, it seemed only natural for me to explore the possibilities of 3D printing when I acquired one. This is a surface so spacious that even a monkey can comfortably sit on it with both legs stretched out and its tail wrapped around it. Print Details: 1. One saddle y0 2. Two saddles each of y1, y2, y3, and y4 (a total of 8) 3. Nine individual saddles x Assembling the pieces can be a bit challenging, but the results are well worth the effort. The photographs showcase various perspectives of the finished saddle. The print's thickness gives it a distinct texture that invites touch and produces pleasant sounds when manipulated. It doesn't flatten as much as a paper model would, but its tactile nature is quite alluring. Check out my other sliceforms: Cube: https://pinshape.com/items/546...
