Sleeping Simba

Sleeping Simba

thingiverse

It's Simba, the iconic lion from Disney's beloved animated movie The Lion King, released in 1994. To capture this majestic creature on your 3D printer, be extremely gentle and silent to avoid startling him awake! He comes in two distinct versions: one with a smooth, furless design and another with subtle, textured fur that adds depth and visual interest. Printing at a layer height of 0.3 or lower can make the layers nearly invisible, while also accentuating the fur effect on the furred version. If you prefer a smoother finish, you might find it easier to paint the furless model. I personally airbrushed my Simba print and then added fine details with a brush, bringing out the textures of his fur. The golden version features a textured fur design that looks stunning when spray-painted with a metallic gold finish using a can. Be sure to use a small brush to get paint into all the nooks and crannies. One of the perks of printing Simba is that he requires zero support material, making him an ideal model for beginners or those short on time.
