Sled Handle
thingiverse
One of the kids' sleds was missing a vital component - something to drag it around with, and another had a rope that was too short. To solve these problems quickly, I made makeshift solutions for them. The handle is designed to be easily printable and incredibly strong. Print these handles out and pair them with 3 mm polyester rope. Cut the rope to an ideal length (around two meters), and heat up the ends briefly. Thread the rope through the larger hole and tie two knots right next to each other at the very end (top of the handle). Pull the rope back into the handle. I printed these handles with a 30% in-fill, and they feel incredibly sturdy. Update: They are indeed very sturdy. We spent an entire day on the mountain. I had dragged kids in the sleds up steep slopes multiple times. The kids repeatedly ran them over with the sleds. These handles are indestructible tanks.
