'Sled' case for GGLABS T232 RS-232 Breakout and Monitor Kit
thingiverse
gglabs.us offers a DB9 RS-232 breakout and monitoring kit featuring a pair of DB9 connectors joined by a sturdy PC board. Properly constructed, this kit holds up well, but I worry that the bottom of the board may short circuit if it comes into contact with something conductive on the workbench. An accidental 'bump' while connected to a device may also damage the connectors. This 'sled' case eliminates the risk of short circuits on the bottom of the board and adds extra rigidity to the connectors, making them even more secure. Print Settings Printer: Makerfarm Pegasus Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Post-Printing The board slips seamlessly into the case and stays put with a snug friction fit. The DB-9 connectors have just enough burr to 'grab' the enclosure, keeping it firmly in place. If your case is too loose, some double-sided tape or glue should hold it securely in place.
