SLD-26 Emitter Antenna
thingiverse
Planetary Defense Generators were capable of protecting an orbiting capital ship, a massive space station, or even a small moon (for the largest models) with a nearly impenetrable energy shield for an indefinite amount of time. Such systems were used on the forest moon of Endor to protect the second Death Star while it was assembled by the Galactic Empire. This 3D model of the SLD-26 system's emitter antenna is based on modern EA Star Wars Battlefront's representations found on planet Sullust. It is scaled to blend nicely in a 1/270 universe and fit into a typical SLA 3D printer seamlessly. These systems are not rare since large space assets are vulnerable to space debris, making protection generated by the host even more crucial around colonized planets and moons where space junk accumulates rapidly. Onboard shields down during idle time, maintenance, repair, overhaul, or under construction appreciate this added security. Assembled, the model measures 86 mm in height with a 60 mm main dish diameter.
