Update 2020-11-23

Fixed the non-extended top spacers as they had all been uploaded as +30mm. There are now both options, with and without the 30mm extension.

Instructions for assembly, and any non-resized parts can be found in the original thing.

Update 2020-07-25

Added some top catches with magnet holes for alternative / double latching.

Update 2020-07-19

I've added tracks reduced by 1mm to support the slightly slimmer gap I'm now getting by having the holes central for the legs. My plexi has arrived and fits (tightly) with the following measurements. Between print expansion, and margins for error in plexi cutting, it's worth measuing yourself as you build and potentially hold on printing something like the tracks which you could adjust. If you want to go really clever with the doors you could make them wider with cutouts for the hinges - by design there's a ~8mm gap down the sides because of the path required to move the doors.

Main Panels: 446mm x 524mm
Door Panels: 213mm x 524mm

Other objects I've used in my enclosure:

Cable clips from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2864118

Angled light reflectors (making sure to not install in the path of the doors!) from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3596318

Filament guide from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2137546

Spool holder from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2451368

Rear cable pocket from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3624551 At this point I consider this remix done, though I'm thinking of adding some spacers to seal the side of the doors.

Update 2020-06-25:

As the postie is yet to show up clasping some pieces of plexi, I've added a new piece to the collection - the CatchSpacer. rather than using the hole spacer, you can use this to just position the catches if you're doing any temporary gluing.

Update 2020-06-24:

I've adjusted the hole finder to accept the extra 2mm spacing and so re-use the pre-existing holes in the Lack. My plexi is on order so hoping to get it in and confirm sizes plus door spacing next month (delays in supply).

Update 2020-06-10:

Almost certainly going to make some changes now I've played around with the Lacks. they have an additional 2mm margin between table edge and legs when positioned using the pre-drilled leg<->table holes, so depending on whether I put these legs flush with the outside of the table, or with the overhang, they're going to need the spacer holes adjusted (or the hole guide). I'll decide once I have all my fixings in and can have a further play. I'm not that fussed either way, so it'll be down to what's easiest for fixings and will then have a knock on to the exact plexiglass dimensions.

================
A few tweaks to the Slack Lack (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3485510) and one enhancement:

Resized all legs to match the 50x50mm of the legs (the original was modelled to 49x49)

Added a 2mm fillet to the vertical corners of the legs to match the IKEA versions

Added a 1.5mm fillet to the side pieces that screw into the legs at the front top for consistency with the back top pieces.

Moved all holes in spacers to be central to the legs so existing holes can be re-used, and adapted the hole finder accordingly

Added additional top spacer versions with an added 30mm of height. In addition to the existing height for damping / stabilisation, I wanted extra height in my enclosure to accommodate the top mounted timing belt for my dual-Z axis. This should give a total height of 53cm internal to the enclosure.

I've included the STEP/F3D files for my edits (and the original parts). I'm expecting that this shouldn't change the plexiglass dimensions from the original, but will check this one I have these printed.

Note that I have only exported STLs for modified parts. All other original parts can be found at the original posting (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3485510)

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
