The individual before me stood motionless, a complete lack of expression etched onto their face. I found myself wondering if they were even aware of my presence, so still and silent did they remain. The room seemed to fade into the background as I focused solely on this enigmatic figure. Time itself appeared to stand still, frozen in anticipation of some reaction, any response whatsoever.
