SLA Release Buttons
thingiverse
Marko Tadros had the brilliant idea to design an inverse beveled circle, making it easy to release his prints without any hassle. Thanks to Moonray S and other SLA printers that can print at extremely steep overhang angles, this is entirely possible. Simply drop this at the edge of your support raft and watch as your spatula effortlessly pops the print right off. You can find Marko's original design on his website: https://www.365digitaldentistry.com/product-page/er-easy-release-3d-printing-button I believe using a polygon instead of a round circle will provide more leverage with your prying tool, resulting in an even smoother removal process. To confirm this theory, I've released my rendition into the wild for everyone to experiment. Here are five different versions: 3, 5, 6, 7, and completely round. My design maintains the same release angle as Marko's but features a hollow beveled top for easier visibility and reduced resin usage. Try these out on your next rafted print and let me know how you like them!
