SLA FDM: Ruby Shard
thingiverse
This is a project of making a printer capable of doing both SLA and FDM printing, being able to switch mid print too. The benefits are many as these 2 methods make up for each others shortcomings well, FDM has poor quality while SLA is brittle and expensive, so you make a part with he outer wall in SLA, while supports and infil are in FDM This is the first of 2 machines planned for this project because originally this would be the beta but I decided it was good enough to now be its own in a series. its a small machine, same footprint as the Orange 10 but print volume is 100x130x100 huge for that tiny size, once was considered to be the beta/proof of concept project but is now it's own project. Tech needed 2 9g servos 4 nema 17s, one pancake type titan extruder SKR 2 RPI a+,3, or 4 BTT mini 12864 display 12v 240w PSU Mini J-Head hotend 3 4010 12v fans 1 6025 12v fan TMC 2208s Currently there is no existing software to make this work beyond hand making the print files, or having the two parts work separately, but there is a discord for this project, and soon a Github so I can get something in the works Discord: https://discord.gg/tACu9ZarGU Everything appears ready and is being printed, but some changes may be made. ALSO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CHANGE THE UGLY ENCLOSURE!!!
