SLA Build platform using ball head
thingiverse
I'm aware that several creators have already attempted this approach. This design enables the construction of an SLA printer build platform utilizing a tripod ball head without requiring any printed components. However, you may still choose to print certain parts if needed. As this 3D model is intended as a proof of concept, it hasn't been optimized for precise tolerances or specific dimensions like tap drill size and length. The files are included so that you can modify them according to your requirements. Typically, standard screw-in dimensions range from 1/4 to 3/8 inches depending on the type of ball head chosen. A lever cam lock similar to the one found at https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-bike-clamp.html?spm=2114.search0104.0.0.Iz5p2N&initiative_id=AS_20170715194505&site=glo&groupsort=1&SortType=price_asc&g=y&SearchText=bike+clamp is used in this design. I refrain from providing the link for the ball head as I cannot guarantee its optimal performance. In future updates, a quick release mechanism will be implemented to simplify the removal of the print surface.
