Skywatcher 200P stepper motor bracket
thingiverse
I redesigned the bracket for use on a Skywatcher 200P reflector, utilizing a Nema17-PG27 stepper motor with a flexible coupler, perfect for my myFocuserPro setup. To accommodate this upgrade, I modified the bolt hole spacings and raised the platform to support the stepper motor securely. Printing it in PLA was easy, but I aimed to use ABS instead, which unfortunately warped severely when printed upright. So, I revised the design to have a flat back face that can be printed with stability by laying it down on its side, effectively solving the warping issue at the cost of using more material. I secured the stepper motor in place using 20mm M3 bolts and washers, ensuring a snug fit. The actual performance remains to be seen as I haven't run the focuser yet. One potential improvement would be curving the mating surface with the scope for an even better connection. **Print Settings:** - **Printer:** Cocoon Create - **Rafts:** No - **Supports:** No - **Resolution:** 0.3mm - **Infill:** 50% - **Notes:** The printer has a tendency to warp ABS even with the bed at 110C, so I modified it to print flat for better adhesion and added a box to keep the print warm during printing. **Design Process:** I made these changes in Blender.
