Skywalker X1 2204 Motor Mount
thingiverse
Many individuals operate their Skywalker X1 mini wings using the standard 1806 motors, but I aimed to harness the enhanced power of a slightly more robust 2204 motor. The motor mounting hole position varies between the 2204 and the 1806 models; hence, this custom version. Furthermore, I increased the center hole diameter for better clearance with the larger shaft bearing and circlip, as well as providing countersink holes for M3 allen head bolts. This redesign was thoroughly tested with an EMAX 2204 motor, ensuring a seamless fit. Although the attachment points to the wooden motor mount of the X1 remain unchanged at 2mm holes, the added thickness (now 5mm due to the countersink hole) makes it advisable to utilize 10mm x 2mm screws for optimal results. However, I found that using these thinner screws might pose difficulties, given the restricted space when trying to insert a screwdriver with the motor installed. As an alternative solution, I intend to securely fasten the motor onto this print via Epoxy glue, which will attach it firmly to the wooden plate of the X1. **Print Settings:** **Rafts:** No Rafting Required **Supports:** None Necessary **Resolution:** 0.2 Millimeters for Optimal Clarity **Infill Percentage:**
