I've never been a fan of the plywood platforms often used in Skywalker builds to carry FPV cameras because I felt they ruined the aircraft's distinctive nose design. So, I designed this innovative pan and tilt turret that fits snugly inside the removable canopy. For panning motion, I utilize a robust sail winch servo from HK, which I restrict on the transmitter to allow only 180-degree rotation in both directions. The pitch servo is a simple 9G model hot-glued securely to the back of my 600TVL Sony camera. A friction-fit cog attachment to the servo head requires only a minimal amount of CA glue to hold down the turret's base, and the outer dome also attaches with just a small amount of adhesive. Ample space is available within the middle axis for the camera cables and 9G servo wires to be routed without becoming tangled or twisted.
