Skyviper Motor Gear
thingiverse
This is for a Skyviper 2450 GPS model quadcopter drone. It's a very small gear, so I had to use a .15mm nozzle on my SeeMeCNC Rostock Max V3. The slic3r settings are specifically for MatterHackers PRO PETG, which was loaded in the printer at the time I needed it. Fortunately, I have no issues with it. I've included 2 Sketchup files as well - the "Complete" file is the gear I printed, and the "No Hole" version doesn't have a hole. Since you'll likely need to play with that part of the file to get it to press fit on your motor shaft, I made some adjustments. The shaft is 1mm (.5mm radius), but due to printing with my printer and settings, along with shrinkage, I had to make the hole 1.5mm (.75 radius) thick. If you want to modify the shaft hole, open the "No Hole" file in Sketchup and do the following: 1. Using the Circle tool, click in the center of the gear and type .5. This will create a 1mm size hole - this is the number you'll need to change to get it to work with your printer and slicer settings. Make sure it press fits onto the shaft very snugly. 2. Using the Pointer tool, right-click inside the circle you just created and select Erase. 3. Using the Push/Pull tool, click on the gear and type in 4. This will grow the gear to 4mm thick. 4. Export to STL and slice and print. 5. Undo everything you did and repeat until you get the inside hole of the gear perfect - it should be very snug but shouldn't need to be hammered on.
