The Skystar is a fully printable remote control airframe, designed for lightweight construction yet maintaining strength. The top and bottom skin of the wings are ~1mm thick and have been reliably printed. Currently, efforts are being made to make the fuselage lighter by modifying the files and reducing material where possible. The aim is to create a plane that flies effortlessly, assembles easily, and can be repaired by simply printing replacement parts if needed. The Skystar's modular design allows for customization of wing and fuselage sections to adjust model size. As the project progresses, different airfoils will be added. Remaining tasks include finishing control surfaces, enhancing the fuselage's aerodynamics, designing areas for servos, receiver, and battery hatch, creating landing gear struts, reducing weight further, and adding engine mounts. Suggestions and comments are highly appreciated. To assemble the Skystar, print each part using minimal material to save weight. Attach control surfaces, electronics, motor, and take it to the skies with a 3D-printed plane.
