Hi! This is a generator for some type of Skyscrapers. The main goal while designing this one is to have a 'Surface mode' printable figure that prints fast and hollow, perfect for lamps with LEDs inside. The Customizer is easy to manage - just set the number of sides of blocks, the 'levels' (which affects the total height of the figure) and an optional twist. There's no seed for randomness so every Customization generates three random STLs that are slightly different from the preview. I've included a ZIP file with a bunch of STLs generated during development. Build me up, tear me down, and have fun printing this one! Print Settings: Printer: BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: No infill Notes: I've learned a few things while printing this in 'Surface mode', and I hope you find it useful. 1.- Printing in surface mode needs good bed adhesion, so use hair spray or some kind of sticky glue if you don't have a heated bed (I don't). 2.- Don't print too fast - 60mm/s can cause holes near corners in 'Surface mode'. Printing at 40mm/s works well for my printer. 3.- Get more flow: I usually use between 75%-90% flow, but for Surface mode, I use 100-110% to avoid holes and bad adhesion between layers. Some pieces generated have small parts 'floating' inside. Not a problem in most of the figures, but check carefully your layers in the slicer software to ensure good printing. Surface mode in Cura: Look for 'Surface mode' in 'special modes' Check your layers This 'floating' part is connected to the figure in upper layers and usually makes a bit of overhanging inside.
